Rainforest Creativity 21:14
A CD to enhance creativity for writers, visual artists, and musicians. The metaphor of the diversity and wonder of the rainforest is used to generate ideas and address common creative issues such as perfectionism and judgmental attitudes towards ones work.

Inspired Novel 26:28
This CD is designed to listen to at bedtime. It is specifically geared to writers who are working on a novel, but can be used for any long writing project.

Engaged Writing 19:27
Using a beach visualization and the metaphor of surfers on the waves, this CD increases the writer's connection to his or her work, and to the inspiration that fuels it. It is especially useful for those who start off with a bang, and then lose their original vision and enthusiasm as they get into the heart of the project.

Calm Performance 13:55
For those who have anxiety over performing or speaking publicly, the metaphor of a flowing river is combined with suggestions for a calm center no matter what the situation, and for allowing your performance to flow through you.

Alert Hypnosis for Artists, Writers, and Musicians
(These four tracks utilize alert or “eyes open” hypnosis, a variation of standard hypnosis that is often used by athletes. It’s best to have some experience going into hypnosis, either with a hypnotist or with self-hypnosis CDs, before using these.)
Switching Gears: 5:10
For artists who have a limited amount of time to work on their creative pursuits due to job or family obligations, this track uses hypnotic techniques to shift easily into the creative mind-set.
Creative Focus 4:56
This track enables you to use hypnosis to quickly focus on the project that you are working on.
Getting It Out There 8:15
If you have trouble putting your work out into the world, this track helps you to take the necessary steps.
Generating Images 11:35
This track uses a rain-forest metaphor to allow you to access the images that lie within your own subconscious.

Below are two CDs that are not directly related to creativity. I have many others available, so if you don't see what you want, email me and ask--I may have what you're looking for.

Relaxation 16:10
A good introduction to self-hypnosis, this CD uses physical relaxation techniques combined with visualization in order to rapidly achieve a relaxed state, and incorporates long-term suggestions for relaxation and joy.

Easy Sleep 13:24
This is a bedtime CD for those with insomnia, and enables the listener to replace the habitual disturbing “bedtime script” with a positive, relaxing one.

Hypnosis

Hypnotic and trance states have been used for centuries by shamans, mystics and visionaries. Hypnosis allows a person to easily access a creative flow state, and can be used to generate images, to increase creative focus, to switch gears from a day job into writing, and to circumvent creative blocks. It enables the writer to stay engaged with his or her creative project, to get in touch with inner sources of inspiration, and to maintain a joyful creativity. In conjunction with other tools such as automatic writing, hypnosis can jar loose startling and beautiful subconscious imagery that can be woven into more consciously structured work.

WORKSHOPS ON HYPNOSIS AND CREATIVITY

I periodically give workshops and seminars on hypnosis and creativity; the most recent was a five session workshop at St. Mark's Poetry Project in New York City. If you want me to let you know when I am doing a workshop, email me, dubris at maggiedubris.com, and I'll put you on the mailing list, or you can check the website as I'll post the information.
